2020 has been a chaotic time. Can I get an Amen? It’s been filled with pain, worry, fear, anxiety, and stress galore. However in the chaos we’ve seen God come through. We’ve seen him provide, sustain, and give hope in hopeless situations. During this Advent season, we really want to bring home the idea that God hasn’t left us and He won’t. When we struggle, He is there. When we’re in pain, He invites us to lay it down at His feet. When we fall short, He forgives us our sins and cleanses us. This is all true because we have a God who is with us, in us, and for us. “God With Us” ”Immanuel” is the theme of this year’s Advent season and we invite you and your students to leave whatever is filling your mind with worry/anxiety at the foot of the cross and rest and be with the God who is near.
We, as a student body, will be going through a 25 day devotional by the same title as our theme “God With Us”. We encourage you to join us and really experience the reason why we celebrate Christmas. Every day you will receive a new devo. We hope you will start off reading the devo daily and spending some time alone with God and as an encouragement we will have either one of us from staff or from our student leadership team give a response over Instagram (@eaglestudents).
