As I spent times in prayer this past week, focusing on the Prayer Guide, my own life and the world around us, God keeps bringing a word to my mind - Transformation!
Change is inevitable; all things are in a constant state of change! The question we must ask ourselves is "how am I changing?" Is my life changing in a negative way or a positive way. Am I experiencing more joy, happiness in my life? Are my relationships growing stronger, deeper? Which direction is my faith, my knowledge of God, my relationship with God, headed?
I believe that there are going to be people, maybe you, that experiences incredible positive transformation this year because you are making the choice to chase after God in new ways, deeper ways.
I believe that there are going to be people, maybe someone you know, who is going to experience a transformation of faith because after denying Christ for so long, they are going to surrender their life to him, who they have discovered to be their Savior, the lover of their soul.
I believe that there are going to be marriages restored as a husband and wife, tired of the hurt and pain, allow God to transform them and begin to redeem their marriage and heal the hurt.
Transformation!
Romans 12:1,2, "Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."
2 Corinthians 3:17-18, " Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
I am looking for these stories of transformation! I would love to hear them! Celebrate them! Would you join me in praying the transformation occurs in the lives of people?
